As the U.S. entered World War II, a strategic debate arose in America's war rooms: Should we bomb cities, or limit ourselves to military targets?

Because of one man, America's chief air war planner,
the U.S. began by avoiding cities. It ended up destroying them.

His story is an American tragedy.

Daylight Precision takes us back to World War II and the debates about the moral use of air power. Should we bomb cities, which is easy and relatively safe, or precision targets, whcih is difficult and costly in American lives?

This new play, written by a philosopher and ethicist, traces the controversy from Germany to its bitter end at Hiroshima and Nagasaki. An unsung hero emerges, General Haywood Hansell, the "poet of the Air Force," whose career was destroyed by his steadfast adherene to his moral choice.

Part platonic dialogue, part tragic drama, Daylight Precision shows a world where leaders rise, leaders fallm and innocent people die.
